Luxury camping spots, unique accommodations, the ever-summery Sterrenstrand, tens of thousands of guests annually, and a track record that speaks for itself: 5-star Recreatiepark TerSpegelt has been a major attraction for young and old for over 50 years. “To send guests home super satisfied, you need not only good accommodations and facilities, but also the right staff. We place a high priority on that because we want to be not only the best recreational park but also the best employer in the industry!”

Beloved holiday park

Michel Huigevoort (director) and Dorien Verschuijten (Manager Marketing & Communication) explain that the campsite the Keizer family started in 1968 has grown over the years into a recreational park spanning no less than 68 hectares. Luxury and outdoor living are central. “The park is designed to enjoy the outdoors,” Dorien says. “There are spacious camping pitches by the water with private sanitary facilities and unique rental accommodations such as fully furnished water lodges with beautiful views over the water. We are also located in a fantastic area. Just around the corner is the Cartierheide, a very beautiful part of the De Kempen nature reserve. You can enjoy walking, cycling, or horseback riding there. And if you have young children, the Gnome Trail is an absolute must.”

Michel: “Technology is developing incredibly fast. Almost everyone has a smartphone and people spend a lot of time online. That’s why we looked for a partner who could not only provide a good POS, but also genuinely help us raise the level of service by responding to new developments and needs. Think of being able to order yourself at a order kiosk and sending those orders to digital kitchen screens, after which the order can be picked up. With DISH, we immediately had a good feeling. A wide range of solutions that are interesting for us. We basically speak the same language.”

Increasing service through webshop and order kiosks

Michel continues: “The ordering website and kiosks for sandwiches, fries, and snacks are truly a success! Guests say they really appreciate being able to order online, and we also see it reflected in the revenue figures. Those are strong! We also face a tight labor market. The great thing is that with DISH’s solutions, we can provide the same level of service and quality to the same number of guests with fewer staff!”

Innovating with the Kitchen Manager

“People are becoming increasingly accustomed to higher service levels and have become more critical. For us, it is therefore important to innovate with developments such as the DISH Kitchen Manager, which we use at Strandpaviljoen De Wijde Blick! Because orders appear directly as digital tickets on the kitchen screens, preparation runs faster and smoother. Everyone knows exactly what the status is of the dishes. It is also very convenient for the service team to be able to see for themselves how long things will take,” Michel says.
