A user-friendly POS system is a must for DieVers Coffee & Lunch
Creating a workplace where everyone can be themselves was the wish of care provider DieVers, and it became a reality with the opening of the lunchroom DieVers Coffee & Lunch. For the clients of the day care program, a user-friendly and clear hospitality POS system was an absolute must. Owner Ilse Willemsen-Mengerink explains how the DISH POS system helps make their dream come true.
At DieVers Coffee & Lunch, which opened its doors earlier this year in Wierden, people with intellectual disabilities work. The lunchroom gives clients the opportunity to participate in society without worry, through meaningful work in a safe environment.
“During the preparations for the lunchroom, we faced quite a few challenges. One of them was finding the ideal ordering and payment solution. Because we work with young people with intellectual disabilities, a ‘normal’ POS system would likely be too complicated. So we were looking for a clear and user-friendly POS system for our clients and colleagues.”
“Through tips from other hospitality entrepreneurs, we came across the DISH POS system and we were immediately enthusiastic as well. The big advantage of DISH POS is that you can add images for all items, both on the fixed POS terminals and on the handhelds. When we had the idea to start a lunchroom, we wondered whether it would be feasible for our clients to work with handhelds, but those images make all the difference! During practice sessions, it became clear that all of our clients could easily find and select the products on both the POS and the handhelds thanks to the images and icons. The ideal system for us.”
“We received incredibly good and patient support during the installation and start-up of the lunchroom. We are very proud that all of our top team members take orders with great pleasure, and that would not have been possible without the help and personal attention from the DISH specialists.”
