When guests are looking for a nice restaurant to grab a bite, they often consult Google on their mobile phone, tablet, or computer. That’s why it’s smart for a restaurant to take advantage of this channel. Nowadays, people want to be able to reserve a table quickly and easily at their favorite restaurant. Fortunately, DISH Table Reservations makes this possible through a seamless integration with Reserve with Google.

What is Reserve with Google?

Reserve with Google is a convenient feature that allows guests to book a table directly from Google at a restaurant. When guests search for your restaurant on Google Search or Google Maps, your Google Business Profile appears on the right side of the search results. If you have activated Reserve with Google, they will also see a prominent button with the text “Reserve a table.”

How does Reserve with Google work?

To use Reserve with Google, you must first connect your Google Business Profile to DISH Table Reservations. Then you install the Reserve with Google app, which adds a “Reserve a table” button to your Google Business Profile. When a guest clicks this button, Google checks real-time availability in DISH Table Reservations. The guest selects the desired date, time, and number of people, and confirms the reservation with a few simple clicks. Thanks to the integration, all reservations are automatically processed and synchronized in DISH Table Reservations at no extra cost. This means you no longer have to manage bookings manually and there is less chance of double-booked tables.

What are the benefits of Reserve with Google?

  • Convenience for the guest: (potential) guests can reserve a table directly from their familiar Google environment, where they are already searching anyway. No hassle with clicking through to websites or filling out long forms.

  • Increased visibility: by activating Reserve with Google, hospitality venues can be directly visible in Google Search and Google Maps. This makes it easy for (potential) guests to find the location and make a reservation.

  • 24/7 availability: reservations can be made at any time of the day.

  • Confirmations and reminders: Google automatically sends confirmations and reminders of the reservation to guests, which helps reduce no-shows.
